Three stadiums added to StarTimes’ broadcasting venues in the Uganda Premier League

Uganda Premier League broadcaster StarTimes has added at least three more stadiums from around the country for live game broadcasts.

According to the initial plan, the topflight league sponsors had earmarked only three stadiums as the only venues with minimum standards for live broadcast of matches.

These included KCCA FC’s StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo, which is also shared with Police FC, Mandela National Stadium Namboole for SC Villa and URA FC as well as Vipers SC St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

Nonetheless, given the general status of the different grounds across the Pearl of Africa, Onduparaka FC’s Greenlight stadium was added to the initial list to make it four, with Caterpillars’ game against KCCA FC being the first to be televised live from Arua.

Now according to the Uganda Premier League secretariat in a revised TV schedule, at least 14 games will be televised live between Match day 5 that is slated for next week on Tuesday and Match day 11 that ends on December 12th.

According to the same communication, the three new stadiums added to the list include the FUFA Technical centre, Njeru in Jinja where Bul FC host their homes, Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku, home to Express FC and shared with Nyamityobora FC. The other is the Champions Stadium in Mwerewe, home to Bright Stars Fc.
