Belgium forward Eden Hazard has fueled transfer reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid this summer saying that he wants to leave Stamford Bridge.
"It might be time to discover something different after six wonderful years at Stamford Bridge,” he said.
The 27-year-old made the remarks after Belgium’s 2-0 win against England in a third-place playoff at the FIFA World Cup in Russia on Saturday in which he scored.
"You know my preferred destination. I can decide if I want to stay or go but Chelsea will make the final decision - if they want to let me go," Hazard told reporters.
On Friday, Chelsea sacked manager Antonio Conte after two years at the club, a decision that didn’t seem to please many and was replaced with Maurizio Sarri less than 24 hours later.
Hazard joined Chelsea in June 2012 from French side Lille for £32m and has since helped the Blues to win two Premier League titles, the FA Cup last, the Europa League and the League Cup.
