Chelsea have signed Italian midfielder Jorginho on a five-year deal from Napoli.
The 26-year-old snubbed a move to Manchester City to follow his former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge.
"I am absolutely ecstatic to be here at Chelsea," Jorginho said.
"It is not easy to become part of such a big team so I am very, very happy. I am excited to play in such an intense league for a team that gives everything to play and win."
It’s reported that Chelsea will pay at least £57m in signature for the player and compensation for Sarri who was still under contract with the club despite being replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.
Jorginho, a Brazil-born had been at Napoli since 2014 and scored four goals in 36 appearances for the Italian outfit last season as they finished second to Juventus in Serie A. He also scored a penalty against Manchester City in 4-2 defeat to his side.
Speaking about the player, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia described Jorginho as "one of the most coveted midfielders in Europe".
