Former Vipers SC skipper and Uganda Cranes forward Farouk Miya has joined Croatia’s HNK Gorica from Standard Liege.
Miya signed a two-year deal with HNK Gorica. The contract also has a one-year extension clause option based on performance.
He joined Standard Liege in early 2016 after the CHAN tournament in Rwanda on loan before signing for them on a permanent deal the following season. He however struggled to earn a slot in the first team.
Miya, who scored the only goal against Comoros at Namboole Stadium that led Uganda to the 2017 AFCON finals in Gabon has been on loan spells at Excel Mouscron and most recently FK Sebail in Azerbaijan.
