Come next season, Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club will have a new face wearing their armband after longtime serving Captain Nicholas Wadada joined Tanzanian side Azam Football Club.
The right fullback put pen to paper on a one-year renewable contract with Tanzanian outfit.
The Uganda Cranes defender joined the Venoms from their junior side cum academy of St Mary's Kitende in 2009-2010. While at Vipers, he won three league titles in 2010/11, 2014/15 & 2017/18) and one Uganda Cup trophy in 2016 plus a final in 2018 which they lost by 1-0 to local rivals KCCA FC.
Nicholas Wadada joins other countrymen who play their professional football in Tanzania’s topflight. These include Uganda Cranes striker Emmanuel Okwi and senior defender Jjuuko Murshid who feature for Simba SC plus Shafik Batambuze of Singida United.
