Liverpool have agreed on a deal to sign French playmaker Nabil Fekir for an undisclosed fee of about 60m euros (£52.75m) - 55m (£48.35m) plus a maximum of 5m (£4.4m) add-ons.
Fekir, 24, is part of the French squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Reds continue to strengthen their squad after a trophy-less season in which they lost a UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid (3-1) and finished 4th in the Premier League.
They have already signed Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco for £39m, and are waiting for the arrival of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig in July in a deal worth £52.75m
Liverpool are also considering a move for Switzerland playmaker and Stoke City left-footed winger Xherdan Shaqiri whose release close is only £12m after the side were relegated to the Championship.
