According to the Jinja based club, they announced the move of their goalkeeper Tom Ikarah on Wednesday afternoon after an agreement with Uganda premier league defending champs KCCA FC.
This deal of Ushs. 20 millions makes things official that Ikarah is now a KCCA FC player and the same deal, Kirinya Jinja SS FC agrees with the buying club to entails 20% share for Jinja club in case Ikarah is sold to any club from KCCA FC be it in Ugandan league or outside Uganda.
"Ikarah young as he is has been very disciplined, harding working , eager to learn new things and very ambitious hence we pray that he continues with that spirit even at KCCA FC. His move to KCCA FC is a bigger achievement to both the club and him as a player because KCCA FC is a big club in Ugandan football and it will expose him to the continent level including increasing his chances of playing to the national team. We are a development club and Ikarah's move to KCCA FC has set the pace and will act as an example to the rest of the players at the club above all it has also added value to our club profile." - Kirinya Jinja SS FC CEO, Ahmed Kongola said.
The club management went ahead wished Ikarah the best at his new club KCCA FC highlighting that it's their prayer as a club to see such players who leave their club joining other clubs to progress well and become even bigger in their football careers.
Apart from Ikara Tom joining KCCA FC, the likes of Sibira Yunus (BUL FC), Kakaire Brian (Vipers) Otim James (BUL FC), Johnson Wakalita (BUL FC) Mutakubwa Joel Gk (Soana) and Wani Ivan (Maroons) to mention but a few joined those bracketed teams respectively.
