League reigning champions Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) have today unveiled their latest signings in the names of Mohammad Jagason Shaban, a striker and Allan Katerega, a midfielder.
Shaban, who scored 13 goals last season in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) joins the Lugogo based side from league rivals Onduparaka Football Club.
The youngster has signed a three-year deal with the club. While addressing the media, KCCA FC head coach Mike Ray Mutebi noted that Shaban isn’t Sserunkuma’s replacement.
“Shaban is not Sserunkuma’s replacement,” he said before adding that, “at Onduparaka, Shaban has been a king but here…No, we shall tame him here. I have been with West Nilers before like Haruna Mawa and Letti and so I know how I will tame this young player”
Meanwhile, the Kasasiro boys have also unveiled midfielder Allan Katerega who joins the club on a four-month loan from Kenyan Premier League giants AFC Leopards.
Shaban and Kateregga become KCCA’s 13th and 14th recruits. The other new signings include Jamil Maliyamungu from Maroons, ex-Victors, SC Villa and Vipers midfielder Muhammad Abdallah, Allan Oryek from Sadolin Paints, Tito Okello from Tanzania’s Mbeya City and Patrick Kaddu from Maroons.
Others are defender Filbert Ochen, Faisal Kiberu, James Begisa, Ibrahim Wamannah, Congolese Faisam Ndjibu and Nigerian Abubaker Saddiq Tijjani plus striker Samuel Kayongo Ssekamatte.
