Liverpool have rejected a 100m Euros (£90m) bid from Spanish giants FC Barcelona for Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho.
Barca are desperate to find a replacement for Brazilian forward Neymar who they sold off to League 1 giants Paris-St-Germain for a world record fee of 220m euros.
It’s understood that the Reds turned down an initial bid of 85m euros (£76.8m) plus 15m euros (£13.5m) in add-ons for the 25-year-old sensational
Coutinho, who despite spending six weeks on injury scored 14 goals last season joined Liverpool in 2013 from Italian side Inter Milan for £8.5m.
He signed an improved five-year deal in January that had no release clause with the Anfield outfit.
