16-time league record champions Sports Club Villa have completed the signing of Nicholas Kasozi from FUFA Big League side Synergy.
The youngster has signed a three-year deal with Blues who continue to beef up their squad ahead of the new season in a quest for a piece of league silverware for the first time since 2004.
Villa, who under the charges of Coach Wasswa Bbosa beat league champions KCCA FC to the signature of the sensational midfielder who has been of interest to many local giants.
Nicholas Kasozi is the only player from the FUFA Big League to be part of the current Uganda Cranes squad that is undergoing preparations to face off with Rwanda in the 2018 CHAN Qualifiers.
“Although KCCA approached me, my heart was at SC Villa,” said Kasozi.
Kasozi, who is seen as a potential replacement for a departed Tadeo Lwanga (crossed to Vipers SC) joins other summer recruits for the Nsambya based side who host their home games from Masaka Recreation Grounds.
These include defender Musa Mukasa, Simon Sserunkuma, Mahad Kakooza and Allan Kyambadde from arch rivals Express FC, George Senkaaba from Kirinya Jinja SS and Sanon Mulabi from Agape among others.
