Six-time league winners Express Football Club have recruited Robert Ssebugwawo to bolster their technical team at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
The development was revealed by the Red Eagles’ chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka that they are adding another member to their coaching staff.
Ssebugwawo joins the “Mukwano gwa bangi” camp in the capacity of a fitness coach as the club steps up their efforts to reach greater heights especially in the aftermath of last season’s struggles when they had to fight for their lives not to be relegated.
“As most of you are aware, a football team is not only footballing prowess and skill. The players need to be both mentally and physically fit as well. To improve on this aspect of our footballers’ game, Express FC has brought on board the services on Mr. Robert Ssebugwawo aka Coach Bob.”
“Coach Bob is a seasoned professional nutritionist, motivational speaker, health and physical fitness coach, with a practice spanning both the USA and Uganda. I welcome him to the Express FC team and look forward to improved results from our players both on and off the field,” reads part of the press statement released by the club on Wednesday 24th October, 2018.
Although the Red Army haven’t had the dream start to the 2018/2019 season that they had hoped for, they are currently 8th on the 16-team log, having managed just one win, two draws and one loss in their first 4 matches, hence a tally of 5points.
