AFCON Qualifiers: Coach Sebastien Desabre trims Cranes squad down to 24

Uganda Cranes head coach has trimmed his squad down to 24 players from the initial 33 that were summoned for international duty.

The Frenchman named his squad just three days after the players started training and moments after a practice match during which the Cranes beat a select side of the U17, U20 & U23 by 4-1 at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.  

The 24 players will enter residential training today (Monday 8th October) and will be accommodated at Kabira Country club in Bukoto as they continue with preparations for a doubleheader against Lesotho in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

Uganda host their Group L rivals on Saturday 13th October at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole with the reverse fixture scheduled for Tuesday 16th, south of the continent in Maseru, Lesotho.

The 24 man Squad;

Denis Onyango, Jamal Salim, Charles Lukwago, Murushid Juuko, Isaac Isinde, Timothy Awanyi, Denis Iguma, Nicholas Wadada, Godfrey Walusimbi, Isaac Muleme, Joseph Ochaya, Hassan Wasswa, Ibrahim Sadaam, Taddeo Lwanga, Moses Waisswa, Khalid Aucho, Allan Kateregga, Faruku Miya, Emma Okwi, Edris Lubega, Derrick Nsibambi, Milton Karisa, Allan Kyambadde and Patrick Kaddu.
