City lawyer Kiryowa Kiwanuka is new Express Football Club chairman in a wave of new changes to revive the Red Army from Wankulukuku.
Kiryowa takes over from Hassan Bulwadda who assumed the position after Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi, who is also Youth and Children Affairs State Minister was kicked out last season.
“The company appoints/nominates Kiryowa Kiwanuka as club and board chairman for a period of three years,” the club said in a resolution on August 14.
Kiryowa Kiwanuka is a grandson of Jolly Joe Kiwanuka, one of the founder members of the Red Eagles and a son to former chairman Jimmy Mugambe Kiwanuka.
“I am coming home. I was born in Express. I have always known Express as a family. I intend build this bond again,” Kiwanuka noted.
