Uganda’s U-17 national team head coach Peter Onen has named a 20-man squad that will be traveling to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania for the CAF AFCON Zonal Qualifiers that are slated for 11th—26th August.
The Cubs will battle it out in Group B along with Ethiopia, South Sudan, Kenya and sports arch rivals Kenya. Uganda kick off their qualification campaign against Ethiopia on Sunday 12th before meeting South Sudan.

Coach Onen’s squad consists of eleven players that were part of the team that featured at the 2018 CECAFA U17 champions in Burundi where Uganda finished in third place. These will give the team some level of confidence and experience heading into the competition.
