Kitara Region Select Hold Uganda Cranes In Regional Tour Clash

In a well-attended encounter, Kitara Region Select held the Uganda Cranes to a 2-2 draw in Regional tour clash in Kasese in the Western part of the Pearl of Africa.

The national team drew first blood through midfielder Allan Kyambadde, who is on the verge of completing a move from SC Villa to KCCA FC in this transfer window.

The midfielder star struck to give the Cranes a lead as coach Sebastian Desabre took the team out for his first regional tour match.

Moments later, the hosts equalized through Robert Baruku. They went on to show their footballing prowess as Rogers Lwebuga scored to give them a lead, making it 2-1.

As the game went on, Vipers SC forward denied the Kitara Region their first victory against the Cranes in three encounters as he netted to make it 2-2.

Regional teams as per the FUFA rules are not supposed to have any players that feature in the top flight (the Uganda Premier League).
