EX-Uganda Cranes Goalie Off To Lesotho

Ex-Uganda Cranes goalie, Posnet Omony is off to Lesotho where he has been offered a coaching job.

Omony, who also featured for league record champions SC Villa and KCCA Football Club has been named as the assistant coach at Bantu Football Club that plays in the Lesotho Premier League.

He joins the Bantu side after leaving Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit Chippa United where he had been a goalkeeping coach since 2017. Before his stint at Chippa United, the former national team custodian had served at Matha Bucks Football Club in the second division.

Omony spent a while in South Africa where he played for Bloemfontein Celtic, Black Leopards, Black Aces, Vasco Da Gama and Roses United Football Club during his career. He later on, in 2016 undertook a month-long coaching certificate in the same country that was organized by the South Africa Football Association (SAFA)
