Mbarara City FC Appoint New Head Coach

Mbarara City Football Club have appointed Charles Livingstone Mbabazi as their new head coach on a two-year contract.

The former SC Villa and KCCA FC player has been an interim coach at FUFA Big League side Kyetume FC towards the end of last season after falling out with Uganda Premier League side Ondupakara FC despite serving them for one and a half seasons.

Mbabazi, an ex-international (Uganda Cranes) also had stints with Ivory Coast’s Asec Mimosas, Esperance, Al Ahly, St Patrick Athletic in Ireland.

The CAF B and UEFA Certificate licensed tactician has also been on the radar of Sports Club Villa as a potential successor for a depart Wasswa Bbosa who recently joined Soana FC.

The Ankole Lions are also slated to unveil Stefan Hasson, a Swedish international as their new technical Director. He is expected to arrive in the country this weekend.
