Shaban Climbs Off His High Horse, Apologizes To Coach Mike Mutebi

Striker Muhammad Shaban has climbed off his high horse and apologized to his head coach Mike Mutebi of Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC).

Mutebi had earlier on in the after of their Uganda Cup final against Vipers SC accessed the Uganda Cranes forward of indiscipline, citing failure to turn up for training sessions with the rest of the team prior to the climax of the 2018 season.

Developments surrounding the former Caterpillars’ captain’s discipline saw him miss the 2018 Stanbic Uganda Cup final at Emokori Grounds in Bukedea last weekend.

In his letter to coach Mike Mutebi, Shaban notes that;

“I had informed Dr. Ssewanyana about an injury I was carrying and he had advised me to take an injection of painkillers which I declined….,” reads part of the letter as quoted by Kawowo Sports.

It’s this injury that made me not to train; my problem now is that I should have reported to you,” it continued.

“I therefore apologize to you so that we can now concentrate on our football business. I hope you will take my problem positively.”
