Jinja based side Bul Football Club stunned title contenders Police Football Club in a 1-0 victory on Tuesday evening in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) at Namboole Stadium.
It was a highly competitive game between the two sides that were goalless at halftime. In the second stanza, a 79th minute strike from Amis Tibita was enough for the Eastern giants as they registered their maiden away victory of the season.
From the back of beating Proline FC by 1-0 on match day 12 in Jinja and now an away victory, the Kefa Kisala–coached side couldn’t have had it any better as they continue to improve their on-and-off form this season.
Despite the victory, Bul FC remained 13th on the table with 15 points, 4 above the relegation zone while the Cops dropped to 3rd place with 23 points after 13 games apiece.
Away to Mbarara, home side Mbarara City Football Club held league defending champions KCCA Football Club at Kakyeeka stadium in a goalless draw.
The draw leaves the Kasasiro boys second on the 16-team table with 23 points from 13 games while the Ankole Lions are 12th with 15 points.
