On Wednesday evening, at the Muteesa II Memorial Stadium in Wankulukuku, there was an absolute shocker as struggling side Masavu Football Club beat six-time league champions Express FC by 2-1.
The Red Eagles fans watched and later on walked off in absolute disappointment as their side lost on the day.
Two goals in either half from Abrahma Ndugwa and Sadala Ddumba in the 21st and 72nd minute respectively were enough to for the league debutants to see off Express as Alex Gitta faced off with his former bosses.
Meanwhile, Dan ‘Muzeyi’ Sserunkuma managed to pick a consolation for the Douglas Bamweyana coached side. The result saw Masavu FC move a place from the bottom on 7 points after ten games, while Express sit just above them in 14th place with 8 points but have played a game less.
Elsewhere, Mohammad Shaban was off the mark as he made his debut for KCCA FC at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo following his controversial transfer from Onduparaka in September.
Shaban scored a 14th minute strike while Allan Kateregga scored the other in the second half with just five minutes to full time as coach Mike Mutebi’s side condemned Police FC by 2-0 in a renewal of acquaintances with coach Abdallah Mubiru on the opposite side of the technical bench.
Despite defeat, Police are still on the summit of the Azam Uganda Premier League with 17 point after 10 games while after 9 games, KCCA are 3rd with 16 points.
