Two-time league champions Vipers Sports Club have landed a two-year sponsorship deal with DFCU Bank.
The deal worth UGX 300m was unveiled on Wednesday morning at the DFCU head offices in Kampala.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, DFCU Bank Chief of Business and Executive Director, Mr. William Sekabembe noted that;
“DFCU Bank understands the importance and impact of football in our communities and Uganda in general. We are pleased to partner with a club that has a strong heritage and is committed to empowering communities through sports development.”
“With the sponsorship valued at a total of UGX 300m we believe that DFCU is committed to partnerships that demonstrate the ability to empower and transform communities,” he added.
According to the terms of the sponsorship deal, the DFCU Bank logo will appear at the back of the Vipers SC shirt jerseys.
The function was also graced by the Venoms President and former FUFA boss Mr. Lawrence Mulindwa who thanked DFCU Bank for the trust vested into Vipers.
“As a club we are excited to have one of the most powerful brands in banking sector supporting us to build and grow the game of football. Having DFCU Bank as our banking partner is beneficial to not just Vipers but the entire football fraternity in Uganda,” Mulindwa remarked.
DFCU Bank now joins Hima Cement and Roofings Limited as the lead sponsors of the Kitende based side.
