Police cuff UPDF in a battle of forces—Uganda Premier League

The battle of forces between Police Football Club and UPDF Football Club couldn’t have come at a better time, with the two security bodies reported to be currently at odds with one another.

On Tuesday evening, the Cops cuffed the army side at their own turf in a 1-0 victory during a game played at the Bombo Military Stadium as the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) entered Match-day 8.

Hood Kaweesa’s 17th minute goal decided the battle between the two sides as Police FC, under the charges of Coach Abdallah Mubiru reclaimed their sit at the summit of the league table.

Police now move top with 16 points from 8 games while UPDF FC remain second bottom on the 16-team log with just 5 points from a similar number of games.

Meanwhile, Kaweesa moved his personal tally to four league goals, to jointly lead the top scorers' table along with Bright Star’s Nelson Senkatuka.
