Maroons imprison Proline to secure first home victory as Bright Stars hold Express

At the Luzira Prisons Grounds, home side Maroons Football Club imprisoned visitors Proline Football Club in a 1-0 win to secure their first home win in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) this season.

Chika Sydney scored the only goal of the game after 38 minutes on the clock.

The victory was the third for Coach Asaph Mwebaze’s side, who now move to 5th place on the league table with 12 points after eight games while Proline dropped to 9th with 10 points after a similar number of games.

Elsewhere, Bright Stars FC held Express Football Club to a goalless draw at Muteesa II Memorial Stadium, Wankulukuku in the other game played on Tuesday evening.

Bright Stars are now 7th with 11 points while the Red Eagles continue to struggle, sitting 12th with just 8 points after 8 games.

The league continues on this week on Friday and later on Saturday with two and three fixtures to be played respectively.
