Police cuff Kirinya to go top of the table

On Wednesday evening at Mandela National stadium, Namboole, Police Football Club cuffed Jinja based side Kirinya Jinja SSS FC in a 1-0 victory to go top of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) table.

A 29th minute goal from Ben Ocen was enough for the Cops to overcome Charles Ayiekoh’s side in a highly contested fixture.

The result elevated Police to the summit of the 16-team log with 13 points as the now second placed Onduparaka Football Club but the cops have a better goal difference.
Kirinya on the other hand remains in third place with 11 points after seven games played.

The league continues on Friday with Express visiting Bul, and then later on Saturday as Vipers SC travel to Onduparaka, SC Villa will host reigning champions KCCA FC and Proline entertain UPDF FC.
