Here is why coach Shafik Bisaso had to resign at Soana Football Club

It was just hours to Soana Football Club’s trip to St Mary’s Stadium Kitende when head coach Shafik Bisaso resigned his position at the club.

The Kavumba based side had to travel to Entebbe to face off with Vipers Sports Club in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) on Wednesday evening when Bisaso threw in the towel.

“The situation has been unbearable… I have made the decision for the good of the club. I admit, this is a painful but worthy decision,” the CAF ‘A’ class license holder told Kawowo Sports.

The former SC Villa and Masavu FC tactician took over the mantle of the club in August, replacing a departed coach Alex Isabirye Musongola.

Meanwhile, his assistant Katono Mutono has since taken charge of the club on an interim capacity and was in charge as the side shared the spoils with the Venoms in 1-1 draw on Wednesday at Kitende.

Soana FC stand just a place above the relegation zone with 6 points after six games on the 16-team table, winning only one against newly promoted side Masavu FC, drawing thrice and losing against Proline.
