Police arrest Vipers at Namboole to go top—Uganda Premier League

Police Football Club continued to show that they are genuine title contenders this season as they arrested giants Vipers Sports Club in a 2-1 win at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on Saturday evening.

The Cops came from a goal down to claim a victory that sent them to the top of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) table on a better goal difference with 10 points, as many as a now second-placed Vipers after five games each.

After a nil-nil display in the first half, Milton Karisa scored a 54th minute goal to give the visitors a lead.

Moments later, clumsy defending cost Vipers gifting striker Hood Kaweesa who netted in the 68th minute to level matters while Ben Ocen got on the score sheet just four minutes later to make it 2-1 for the hosts as goalie Ismail Watenga conceded for the first time this season.
