After a fortnight-long international break, the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) returns with three games as match-day five gets underway.
In the biggest clash of the day, six-time champions Express Football Club will host Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club at Muteesa II Memorial Stadium in Wankulukuku, with the game expected to be aired live on Azam TV.
The Red Eagles and the Tax Collectors have had a questionable start to the new campaign given their status, with both sides managing only one win apiece. URA, under the tutelage of coach Ibrahim Kirya have however manager two draws and one loss, putting them in 8th place on the league table with a point better than their Tuesday opponents who have registered a pointless.
Coach Douglas Bamweyana’s charges have left Express in 11th place on the table with 4 points after adding a draw and one loss to their only victory that came against a struggling Maroons side in a 2-0 score.
Elsewhere, league debutants Masavu FC will host Kirinya Jinja SS at Fisheries Training Institute Field in Bugonga. Both sides lost their last league encounters with the hosts falling to a 2-0 defeat to Vipers while Kirinya were condemned to a 2-1 defeat by Bright Stars at the Champion Stadium in Entebbe.
On their unfortunate side, the visitors will be without their number one custodian Thomas Ikara and Ibrahim Kayiwa who sustained injuries during their engagements with the Uganda Cranes; hence coach Charles Ayiekoh will have to make changes for his side.
At the Champion Stadium in Mwererwe, Bright Stars FC will host bottom side Maroons Football Club.
