As the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) enters match-day III, league debutants Mbarara City Football Club will be targeting a back-to-back home win against City travellers of Bright Stars Football Club on Tuesday evening.
The Ankole Lions have had a promising start in the topflight despite the sudden departure of their head coach Richard Makumbi prior to the opening day of the league. Coach Makumbi moved on for greener pastures, joining Kenyan Premier League side Western Stima.
Under the charges of Coach Vialli Bainomugisha, Mbarara picked up a point on opening day in a 0-0 draw away to Bul FC before stunning Express FC by 1-0 at Kakyeeka last weekend, leaving them in the top five on the 16-team log.
Meanwhile, the Lato Milk-sponsored side travel to Kakyeeka stadium in Mbarara without the command of their head coach Fred Kajoba who has since been given a four-match ban.
Bright Stars have also, on the other hand, managed two draws against Vipers SC (0-0) and 1-1 against Soana FC.
Elsewhere, newcomers Masavu travel to Kavumba to face Soana, KCCA are at home to Onduparaka while URA visit Maroons.
