Despite their slow start to the new campaign, Jinja based side Bul Football Club are aiming to finish in the top five this season in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).
Speaking to the media after their 1-0 defeat to Vipers Sports Club, Bul’s head coach Kefa Kisala noted that his team has all the capabilities to archive their set target for the 2017/18 season.
“We fought hard especially in the first half but lost the game. But losing away to a team labeled among favourites for the title in the manner we did is encouraging,” the former URA FC tactician remarked.
“But the most important thing after the two games is that we have a strong team and our target to finish in the top five is achievable,” he added.
The Eastern Giants who host their home games from the Kakindu stadium finished 11th last season with a tally of 33 points from 30 matches under the charges of coach Frank 'Video' Anyau, who has since left the club.
The ‘money team’ kicked off the season with a goalless draw against newcomers Mbarara City Football Club before their defeat away to Vipers leaving them 13th on the table with just a single point.
Their next game is an Eastern derby away to Kirinya on Saturday 23rd September.
