Onduparaka Football Club Captain Mohammad Jagason Shaban has switched to Lugogo based side Kampala Capital City Football Club (KCCA FC).
Shaban has been a major target for the twelve-time league winners and nine-time Uganda champions since last season but failed to secure his service during the mid-season transfer window.
Reports suggest that the deal is as good as done with all involved parties having agreed terms and what remains is the player to be unveiled.
The Kasasiro Boys under the tutelage of head coach Mike Mutebi and his assistant Morley Byekwaso have done enough striking force recruitment following the departure of veteran forward Geoffrey Sserunkuma who joined Buildcon in Zambia and Robert Ssentogo.
Strikers Samuel Kayongo, Patrick Kaddu, Tito Okello, Abubakar Saddiq Tijjani from Nigeria and Cameroon’s Malango Faisam Ndjibu were recruited while Derrick Nsibambi is also still at the club. These, including Shaban will now fight for playing time at Lugogo.
Meanwhile, KCCA FC take on UPDF FC at Bombo Military Stadium in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).
