Milton Karisa was on target as against his former bosses as Vipers Sports Club pipped Bul Football Club by 1-0 on Friday evening in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Karisa’s strike came just a few minutes before halftime to give the Venoms the advantage before recess.
In the second half, efforts for an equalizer for the Eastern giants yielded no results while the hosts also failed their attempts to double their lead.
The game eventually ended 1-0 to give the Kitende based side their first victory of the new season.
Vipers’ head coach Jorge Miguel Da Costa was delighted to get the three points on matchday two. Speaking at a post-match press briefing, the Portuguese international said;
“It is a massive win for us, the game was not easy but most importantly, we got the maximum points today. I believe this motivates us going forward.”
The result takes Vipers to 4 points after drawing on the opening day against Bright Stars while Bul remain on a single point picked from their home draw against Mbarara City FC on Tuesday.
