Egypt fall as Uganda rises in latest FIFA rankings

Uganda Cranes rose by two places in the last FIFA World Football rankings released on Thursday 14th September 2017 in Zurich, Switzerland.

The Cranes improved from 73rd to 71st with a tally of 486 points as compared to 464 in the previous July rankings.

The improvement is imputed to their 1-0 win over the Pharaohs of Egypt last month on Thursday 31st in the FIFA 2018 World Cup Qualifiers at Namboole, Kampala.

Meanwhile, Africa’s seven-time champions Egypt fell by 5 places to be ranked 30th with 815 points from 866 despite their return leg 1-0 victory over the Cranes in Alexandria.
