Express FC name 2017/18 season squad without a head coach

Express Football Club have today named their squad for the 2017/18 even without a head coach following the recent resignation of Ssalongo Matia Lule.


The Wankulukuku based outfit who lost about three-quarters of their squad unveiled a number of new signings with the notable names being Steven Bengo, Michael Birungi, Dan Mzee Sserunkuma and Ronnie Kisekka.

Addressing the congregation during the unveiling function, club chairperson and state minister for children and youth Affairs, Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi said;

“No doubt about the talent and experience of the players we have signed. They join a club with a rich history and I expect a better show next season.”

Despite their ever unending shortfalls, the Red Eagles have named defender Sam Senkoomi as the new club skipper and will be assisted by midfielder Stephen Luswata.

Express kick off their campaign tomorrow as they host Kirinya Jinja SSS FC at Muteesa II memorial stadium, Wankulukuku.
