Uganda Cranes fly out tomorrow ahead of international with Ethiopia

The Uganda Cranes are scheduled to fly out of the country tomorrow (Thursday, 1st June 2017) to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia ahead of their international friendly with Walia Stars.

 

Following their return from the Fort Portal on Monday afternoon after beating Kitara Region select by 3-1 on Sunday in their regional tour, the Cranes entered residential training on Tuesday 30th May at Sky Hotel, Naalya.

The team is in preparations for their forthcoming Group L opener in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers away to Cape Verde but will have two international buildup matches to play first. 

Uganda will play Ethiopia in their first friendly match on Martyrs day before flying Dakar on Sunday 4th to face off with Senegal. While in Ethiopia, the contingent will be joined by new team Captain Denis Masinde Onyango of Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) and other KCCA FC players.

3rd June 2017: Ethiopia vs Uganda—Hawassa International Stadium (International friendly)

6th June 2017: Senegal vs Uganda—Dakar (International friendly)

10th June 2017: Cape Verde vs Uganda—Praia City (2019 AFCON Qualifier)
