Sweet revenge as Vipers spray the Caterpillars in Kitende

It was a sweet revenge as two-time league champions Vipers Sports Club gave Onduparaka FC a taste of their own medicine in a 4-1 thumping at the St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende.

The Venoms sprayed the Caterpillars who beat them by 1-0 in the reserve fixture during their trip to Aura. Erisa Sekisambu launched the sweet revenge with an opener in the 13th minute.

The visitors played well to resist the hosts from breaking their defense to keep it at 1-0 by halftime. In the second half, Brian Nkuubi scored in the 70th minute to double the lead.

Moments later, Dickens Okwir pulled one back for Onduparaka but Vipers were just too good to be marched on the day as Sekisambu struck in the 83rd minute to mark his brace.

Three minutes later, Tony Odur scored a screamer from out of the area to make it 4-1 as he extended his personal tally to eleven league goals.

Vipers retain the third place with 49 points while Onduparaka also remained fifth with 41 points from 28 league fixtures.
