Mukasa Musa given armband after Sadam Juma’s departure

Mukasa Musa has been given the armband to lead Express Football Club following the departure of Captain Ibrahim Sadam Juma who joined local rivals Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC).

"To me it is a huge responsibility but I have been assistant captain so there is no very big difference because I have huge responsibility. What I know is that tomorrow as captain for the second game in the row we shall win. Thank you," the Red Eagles new skipper said following his elevation to the new role.

The long-serving right back won Coach Matia Lule’s trust and he thinks that Musa is very much capable of leading the team as the 2016/2017 season takes its bend.

Speaking about on the appointment, Lule said;

“We have been having two captains here. With Saddam now gone, Mukasa takes the responsibility since he has been his vice.”

Mukasa, who is now the third captain for the Wankulukuku based side this season after Mike Mutyaba and Sadam Juma leads the ‘Mukwano gwa bangi’ into his first game as skipper on Tuesday evening as they host Proline FC at Muteesa II Memorial Stadium in the Azam Uganda Premier League on (AUPL) match day 28.
