Reports circulating suggest that Vipers Sports Club proprietor Lawrence Mulindwa will be seeking office to lead Uganda’s football governing body in the 2017 FUFA elections later this year.
Mulindwa is a man that needs no introduction when it comes to matters of football in the Pearl of Africa having served as the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) president from 2005-to-2013.
Rumour also has it that the Buganda Regional Football Association (BRFA) officials have passed a resolution to support the former FUFA boss during this year’s elections. The resolution was allegedly passed during a delegates’ assembly that sat in Mukono.
Earlier on this month, it was reported that delegates from the Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) resolved to support current president Eng. Moses Magogo who will also be seeking a second term in office.
Magogo took over the mantle of the local football governing body in 2013 from Mulindwa who will now be seeking a third term in office.
