Former World number one Serena Williams beat Karolina Pliskova at the US Open at Flushing Meadows, New York to reach the semi-finals for a ninth consecutive time.
The 23-time Grand Slam winner trailed 4-2 in the opening set but managed to fight back to win 6-4 6-3 against the 26-year-old Czech.
Williams, 36, is stilling fighting to win her first Grand Slam trophy ever since giving birth to her daughter Olympia in September last year.
"I don't think I have another 10 years of having opportunities to be able to play and win championships," Williams, seeded 17th said.
"Every match really means a lot to me. I kind of go out there and I just do the best that I can."
The American will now battle it out with Latvia's 19th seed Anastasija Sevastova in the semi-finals for a slot in the finals.
Earlier on Tuesday, Sevastova knocked out American defending champion Sloane Stephens to reach the last four.
