Mourinho promises to bring the Premier League title to Old Trafford

As clubs continue to gear up for the new season on their different tours, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has promised to bring the Premier League title to Old Trafford.

The Portuguese international says that United are “better equipped” to win the title but admits that this season is going to be difficult. While speaking to BBC Sport, Mourinho said; “We are better prepared for that.”

“This season is going to be more difficult but I think we have better conditions to fight for the Premier League," he added. "I think this season we are a little bit better equipped. We are against fantastic teams, against amazing investments. But I believe in our group, in our spirit, in our empathy, in our togetherness. I trust my boys and we are going to try."

United won the League Cup and the Europa League last season during which they finished sixth on the league table.

The Red Devils have so far made two signings this summer in striker Romelu Lukaku and defender Victor Lindelof but it’s no secret that they aren’t yet done with their transfer business. Recent reports have linked United with a move for Inter Milan sensational Ivan Perisic, PSG’s Blaise Matuidi and Tottenham’s Eric Dier.
