CAF Champions League: How KCCA FC eliminated Madagascar's CNaPS Sport

Uganda premier league 2016/17 champions KCCA FC played Madagascar's CNaPS Sport in their 2nd leg in CAF Champions league at Lugogo on Wednesday.

KCCA who lost 2-1 in the first leg of the preliminary round two weeks ago, needed Mucureezi’s header off Mustafa Kizza’s corner kick in the 63rd minute to send the local giants to closer to the group stages.

The Lugogo side will now meet St George  in the first leg of the first round on March 6 in Ethiopia. The return leg will be played two weeks later in Kampala.

St George's opponents in the preliminary round Al Salam Wau of South Sudan did not honour the first leg and were shown exist from the competition.

The winner between KCCA and St George will qualify for the group stages.
