Ivan Ntege, Dennis Iguma in as Uganda Cranes start residential training for World Cup Qualifiers

After beating a Northern region select side by 2-0 on Saturday 30th September thanks to Derrick Nsibambi’s double strike in their regional tour, the national football team, the Uganda Cranes entered residential training.

The Cranes have today morning continued with their preparations at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole ahead of their tie with Ghana in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The residential training kicked off on Sunday evening at Namboole with at least fourteen players in attendance including ‘Kojja’ Ivan Ntege and Dennis Iguma. They are expected to conduct a double training session in the morning and evening respectively.

Uganda Cranes will host the Black Stars on Saturday 7th October in Kampala for the make or break clash between the two Group E sides of the qualifiers.

After four games played by each side, Egypt lead the Group E pack with 9 points, Uganda is second with 7 points, Ghana third 5 points while Congo Brazzaville are bottom with just a point.
