Uganda Cranes lead gaffer Sebastien Desabre has named his final 23-man squad for the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations finals that will be played in Egypt.
According to the local football governing body, FUFA, “the list will be submitted to CAF to beat today’s deadline.”
Enterprising Vipers SC midfielder Moses Waiswa misses out after being rule out with a knee injury while forward Alexis David Bbakka who plays for Carlstad United in Sweden didn’t make the team due to injury.
KCCA FC midfielder Ibrahim Sadam Juma was also left out having suffered from malaria for the last one week while Ethiopian based star Kirizestom Ntambi wasn’t good enough to make the list.
Uganda was drawn in Group A with the hosts Egypt, DR Congo and Zimbabwe.
The Cranes on Sunday were held to a goalless draw by Turkmenistan at the New York University stadium during a closed-door build-up match.
