Following the sacking of their lead tactician Javier Martinez Espinoza, Vipers Sports Club have named a five-man team that will steer the club forward on an interim capacity as they search for a new head coach.
Coach Martinez was fired on Saturday evening in the aftermath of the Venom’s goalless draw with Tooro United FC at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
“Vipers Sports Club has this evening named a 5 man interim technical team that will be handling the club going until the end of this season,” the club said in a statement.
The five-man team, to which only four have been so far named will be led by Kenyan international Michael Ouma.
“The team includes a new face of Kenyan born Micheal Ouma, Oloya Moses, Edward Ssali and Ram Nyakana Mpuga. A fifth person will be named by the club administration sooner than later,” the club further noted.
The new team got their work up to a quick start as the Venoms prepare to face off with four-time league winners URA FC at Namboole Stadium on the 3rd January 2019 in the UPL.
